I'm currently listening to last Monday's 就是万人迷. It is VERY amusing. And very hilarious. Because you don't hear this at 10.53pm. I kind of recorded it since my sister wanted to listen but she couldn't. And in the end it was left to rot anyway. Until I decided to transfer more songs to my music player. Then I discovered it and...you should know the rest.

I should just keep this in my music player for the next 10 or 20 years then one fine day decide to listen to it again. And when that day comes, I'll be like "OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE I STILL HAVE THIS." and probably start laughing at all the commercials. And whatever Cruz and Jia Hui says. :D

Time check: 10.55pm. I have 5 more minutes to type whatever is in my mind now.

CCA was awezome. Somehow someone decided to push forward CCA by one hour. Then most of the people (at least the year 1 to 3s) didn't know and they all came at 4. Yeah anyway we spent the first one hour doing...nothing. Because Yong Xue was teaching the year 1s how to model that gingerbread man since they weren't here last week. And Yuting couldn't continue until they've finished. Yup so it was uber slack.

And then we spent the next one hour adding eyes, a mouth, and textures for the gingerbread man. Our progress is real fast, can.

See? Yet another CCA session wasted.

What I remember from the whole of January. Within this short period of time.

It's like 3 more days to February, and this is only my second post of the year. But you can't really blame me for that. Blame the lousy internet connection that prevents me from doing anything other than play MCF on the computer. Yeah so this post shall be a very very rough summary ~~(because I didn't use sandpaper on it)~~ of whatever happened in the past month. Or at least those I remember and feel like typing out. And right after I typed this paragraph of text I forgot what I wanted to write.

You know like when you're in the shower or doing some random stuff you suddenly have this idea of what to write about and then when you finally have the chance to, you instantly forget everything. You don't? Fine maybe only I do. Oh the order of stuff doesn't really say much other than the fact that they came to my mind earlier.

Uh. So here goes.

1/ MasteringPhysics is awesome. NOT. I don't know why but somehow that kind of squeezed its way here. No, really. It's that bad. If my physics results drop, I'll know what caused it. Because I've been making all kinds of stupid careless mistakes. And it's only the first assignment. I stupidly wasted six tries (and got them all wrong) and then half an hour later I stupidly realised I stupidly made a stupid mistake. Like my vector somehow being in the opposite direction. That's why no matter how I try, the angle's still wrong. And what else will happen in the next one year's physics assignment? I don't even want to try thinking. Yeah I know I've said all these already, but typing it out makes me feel...very slightly better.

2/ I think I'm falling in love with Eason Chan (陈奕迅) already. Is that a good or bad thing? I don't know. I know many people say that Eason has ugly hair and looks ugly and has bad fashion sense. Uh let's put it this way. Eason isn't exactly very good-looking (but he's not ugly either) and I never really liked his hair. His clothes...I have nothing to say. I mean, he is like unique and different from everyone else. It's his own style - Eason-style. That's really why I admire him. Not every star can dress very casually (or very extremely extreme) to an event. Plus his songs are really really awesome, just he is himself.

3/ Infocomm's "Welcome Party" shouldn't include ~~not-very~~ amazing races anymore. And forever and ever. Sometimes I really suspect if their main goal was to make us exercise and lose weight since almost all we do is plonk our butts in front of the computers. I am more convinced after today. Since our stations require us to go up-down-up-down in the school. (No I'm not implying any other meaning.) Anyway to any exco member who's possibly looking at this: Really, I think it's time we stopped the amazing races.

Okay since I don't feel like typing anymore, I shall leave the rest of the stuff to my next post, which may not be coming any time soon. Bye.

Yayy~ I'm finally done. I think I took at least one hour to type that out. And code the table too. But it can't be compared to the amount of time it took on the radio to play all those songs out. 9 hours 08 minutes. Of course with random advertisements and talking in between, can. 我又重新的愛上五月天了。~~其實也不算重新，因爲我都沒有不愛五月天。~~
五月天唱的每一首歌都不曾讓我失望。我是有被感動到的。真的。他們的歌，讓我有一種很想再聼下去的感覺。
他們的慢歌讓我有種很舒服的感覺，快歌則讓我感到超HIGH的。反正就聼聼他們的歌啦。保證你不會後悔的，哈哈。

昨天去買了：五月天[創造]小巨蛋 D.N.A LIVE! 演唱會創紀錄音。哇，名字好長。其實我早就想買了，只是找不到一個適當的時機和藉口。因爲我知道我媽媽一定問東問西的。所以，我告訴我自己，既然我沒有機會去看五月天的演唱會，至少也要買回來聼一聼，看一看嘛。我就這樣成功地説服了媽媽。耶！

知道嗎，我到大衆書局去買的時候，發現到：ＣＤ－ＲＡＭＡ的排行榜上，第一名竟然是五月天！：）是超爽的咯～　原本我還以爲至少要三十塊，沒想到才二十塊出。：）哇省了一筆錢。

Normally I can't be bothered to do this kind of stuff, but today is an exception. Since I know I've got to post so my already very pathetic blog traffic doesn't sink to an all-time low, but I don't feel like writing a long essay about my awezome trip to Malacca. You know you won't be seeing this for the next few months or so (probably longer, depends), so read it. And hope you find something interesting. Which you'll never find out anywhere, ever. Yay. I have no idea what made me write something like that. Not like I'm going to reveal my deepest darkest secret. And I don't even know what that is. Okay. Quiz-time. Someone who is not looking for me. Ha.

Desktop Applications to Improve Your Twitter Experience.

Twitter has been increasing in popularity recently. Perhaps not quite recently, but you get the idea. Since the current Twitter user interface isn't exactly very attractive nor efficient, why not get a desktop app so you can get the most out of Twitter? Here's some desktop apps to enhance you Twitter experience.

DestroyTwitter

It's an Adobe AIR-based app. Nice and simple user interface, yet there are a lot of things you can go configure. Like who shows up on the "home" page and who doesn't. And you can also set the time interval between checks for new tweets. It's like a background running app that notifies you when there are new tweets / replies. It highlights them too, and you "read" them by hovering your cursor over it. You can disable that if you want actually.

I like this app. I'm currently using it after ditching some random app. But DestroyTwitter's still in Beta stage, so for those who don't feel good about using Beta, you should just forget it.

TweetDeck

Another app that runs in Adobe AIR. I haven't quite tried it yet, it's my sister that's using it. Nice interface, and it can connect to Facebook, MySpace, etc. Supports multi-column user interface so you can see everything at a glance. And you can customise the colours too.

Downside: It doesn't support Chinese characters, or some other random special characters. So people who tweet in Chinese often, or follow people who do so, aka ME, you should just give this app a skip.

I should have just waited till I come back from Malaysia before checking Espace.

Maybe I shouldn't have chosen art. Maybe I should have chosen History. But History is so content-heavy and so not worth the time. Bleh. ~~I've been using a lot of "Bleh"s recently.~~

I believe they allocate classes according to what humanities / arts we chose. That's why all the art / lit / music people get thrown together.

I've been thinking about downloading Firefox and Opera on my laptop.

But I'm not really sure if I really want it. Cause they might just lag my laptop and increase the startup time. And I'm sure I won't be using them often. But then again, I need them to test out my blogskins and make sure it works on them. And some blogs, irritatingly only work on Firefox (perhaps IE too). Gahh I can't be bothered with IE. It's so lousy it can't be compared with the rest of the browsers.

Yeah so I'm still thinking. Should I download or should I not? That is the question.

~~Went Firefox's page to take a look. Then I decided to try downloading the installation file. But the page wouldn't load. Bleh.~~

Maybe I shouldn't after all. At least not today. Too bad Mozilla. Who told you not to load. I should give up on Opera too. Since not as many people use it anyway. And I got pissed at Firefox after refreshing for the nth time.

I should be contented now. I have my Chrome and Safari already. ~~But those Chrome developers are only thinking of making their next Chrome version (Chrome 5) targeted at Windows 7.~~ Nevermind. I shall wait.

Hi I know I haven't been posting.

Blogger was pissing me off. It always takes ages to load a single page. And most of the time it doesn't load in the end. So I decided to push my posting till today. And anyway I've forgotten what I wanted to post previously. I should consider getting a new blog host. Like WordPress or Tumblr or LiveJournal. But there are less layouts and that means I've to relearn the layout format of that web host. And I'm not particularly enthusiastic about that. Plus Tumblr doesn't quite work in Chrome. So let's hope we see an improvement in Blogger's performance.

Short update before I get back to topic.

Went to the ICA building to collect my new passport. Wasted 3 hours queuing for a palm-sized, 94 pages book. D: There were only two pathetic counters for passport collection, can. Turns out that the rest of the 14 counters were serving those who made appointments. Bleh. So we are second priority. Might as well have went there and get the passport made on-the-spot. Instead of applying online.

PS: My new passport photo is older than my old passport photo. How interesting.

PS 2: My sister's online application got rejected because the submitted photo was the same as the previous one. How even more interesting.

PS 3: The person at the counter wasn't really convinced I was the person in the photo. FYI, that was some years back already. So she asked me loads of questions, i.e. where I'm schooling, where's the school, when's my birthdate. :/ I just look younger, can. Plus with short hair.

PS 4: Okay so my update wasn't very short actually. Maybe it is. If you don't count all the "PS". :D

PS 5: All these "PS" are turning me into Jing number 2. Hmm.

Anyway regarding Jing Wong (黄靖伦), he just released his 2nd album, OK Man, yesterday. :D

This time he's back with more...cuteness(?!) His costumes are almost all if not all accompanied with a cute bow-tie. Kind of "coincides" with his silly character (陈余一) in Momo Love.

I haven't really heard the songs from his album yet, other than 我的妈 and some other song from -Momo Love. But 我的妈 is awesome. Not so much of the awesome-awesome, but more of the oh-my-~~god~~mother-awesome. And Dancing King-ge (aka Show Luo) came up with a short dance for 我的妈 on 100% Entertainment (娱乐百分百).

And I read somewhere that he crashed into a pole while filming the MV for it too. He stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal on the motorcycle. Ouch. Fortunately it wasn't too serious. Poor Jing.

Yeah. So the title says it all: Neopets.

Neopets is fun! :) Well at least it's better than stoning in front of the computer while waiting for my show to load. And I like seeing my Neopoints (Neopets currency) increasing.

Btw, did you know there's free food in Neopets? Can go get once a day. :D

Wahahah. I'm typing on my awesome new notebook! :D

Bought it @ SITEX on Sunday. It's good enough, considering the fact that my parents had a very low budget (1K) and I had my expectations. 12.1 inch, Windows 7, relatively fast, looks good. Anyway I got an MSI. U200. :D I don't care if you haven't heard of it. But you should have. Apparently it is super energy-saving and won't get hot easily, etc. The main point is, it has a super long battery life. Wahahah. Longer than yours. Much longer.

It's like somewhere in between a netbook and a notebook. But more of a notebook.

Oh did I mention my mouse is awesome? It's fun to play with.

Haircut

I got a haircut.

Now it's thinner, very slightly shorter, and still very dry. But you can't tell the difference actually. Maybe unless you look very closely.

It's supposed to be smoother and less dry and everything with the treatment. Which I had no idea what it was. And I still have no idea. The hairdresser put some cream on my hair and some other cream on my hair and then there was some steam-like thing. Then it was the typical wash-dry-blow.

My specs were off the whole time. Which means I couldn't really tell if they were putting poison or some treatment oil/cream on my head. 'Cause I don't see the effects. At least not now.

Last Day of School + Peranakan Museum

Yay it's two posts fused into one! Yeah yesterday's and today's. Like duh!

Okay whatever. So yesterday was the last day of school. So yesterday I got back my dreaded CAP. So yesterday I realised something for once that's awesome about NUS High: CAP is now rounded off to 1 decimal place! HAHAH.

And that means I get 4.8! :D Yeah I know I'm lucky. My CAP was actually 4.75, but those nice people kindly rounded it up to 4.8 for me. Which means I get my PSP! But seriously right now I'm considering a netbook, or a cheaper notebook. 'Cause my parents claim they would do me more good than a PSP. Maybe I should get a better phone. Hmm. Gahh now I'm spoilt for choice. I should have just stuck to a PSP and ignore all other...suggestions. Yup.

So that's all for yesterday. Not exactly all, but it's all that's more worth my time typing out.

Peranakan Museum

Don't ask me why. It's this family day thing NUSH organised and my mother decided to go so I tagged along. Anyway it was much more fun than what I expected. Not the whheeeee kind of fun, but more of the educational and informative kind of fun. Never knew this side of me, huh. I never knew too.

Basically, it's all about...Peranakan. Duh! That's why it's called a Peranakan Museum in the first place. Yup. Peranakan weddings, Peranakan origins, Peranakan lives, Peranakan culture, Peranakan jewellery.

Did you know Dick Lee was a Peranakan? Now I know. And Mr Nair's (The one in NHPS. How many Nairs do you know?) sister too. (According to my very informative sister.) Which makes Mr Nair a Peranakan too. Hmm. I thought he was indian.

And I realised Peranakan designs are all so...grand and exquisite and detailed. I am impressed.

This trip to the Peranakan Museum has just refueled my interest in museums. Now I want to revisit the toy museum. Hopefully the Biennale. And visit the Singapore Philatelic Museum. And the Singapore Art Museum. I have plenty of time to do that in the holidays.

No, of course the lyrics (see title) doesn't go like that. They won't be so nice to include my name. It's supposed to be 可是我相信爱, but I just like to think of it my own way. :D Anyway, if you ever want to know what song that came from (which I suppose you English speakers won't), it's 陈奕迅 Eason Chen's 给你 (aka For You). :)

In the midst of doing the useless module evaluation surveys. I really wonder if they really take into consideration whatever we write. And you can't actually write negative stuff (unless you're Shu En, or anyone else who's planning to transfer out next year). I don't care if they say it's anonymous or anything. If it's really anonymous, we wouldn't have to log in just to complete it. Or would they check who haven't done it. If they are able to check who done it, and who haven't, they obviously (and very easily I suppose) can check who typed all that negative comments. So it's not a module evaluation survey anymore. It's a...I-force-you-to-this-so-you-have-to-do-it-and-don't-write-negative-comments survey. Aha!

Oh no I just wasted my time trying to type that whole chunk of random useless words out. I should just go back to finishing those lousy surveys. Bye.

I had more depressing stuff to write about but I decided not to. 'Cause you people would complain and say "Hey I'm worse!" or something of the sort.

National StrITwise Challenge 2009

I was thinking whether or not I should post pictures up here. Then I decided I was too lazy and tired to save the pictures from Yuting's email and take out the memory card from my phone and stick it in the card reader then to the laptop. And upload it to Blogger. Yup so since I'm not bothered enough to do so, too bad then. :D

Spent at least 9 hours @ Ngee Ann Polytechnic Convention Centre today. Hmm. I wonder how I survived. Basically most of the time were spent manning our booth. And making sure our robot model didn't break apart or anything of the sort.

StrITcombat: Got totally owned by Steggy (the big fat ugly adorable dinosaur robot). Didn't even get past the first round. Don't mention. Gahh why do they have to randomize three times!

StrITd∑sign: I'm kind of satisfied with our robot model. :) Presentation went well. (Duh, because I didn't present :D) I think we're lucky. Judges who were judging some other groups looked much sterner and stricter and less likely to give high marks. HAHAH.

StrITsmart: I don't know. Byorn said it was easy. I suppose so, since we came in third for that. Up till now I still have no idea what they actually did. Sounds childish, with all the puzzle fixing and stuff.

Anyway, most of the time it was superr boring. Like in the afternoon, when all the judging and everything is done except for StrITsmart. I was so bored and tired I fell asleep. But I woke up soon enough because it was too friggin' cold and my head kept dropping downwards and sideways. No, not literally dropping. If not I won't be able to fix it back. Hmm maybe duct tape would do.

But we still got sixth place! Quite unexpected. Yeah so it was this Philips Micro Hi-Fi System (or so it says on the box) which was big and bulky and heavy. Had loads of problems trying to lug it back home. My arms weren't feeling very great after that.

I'm planning to sell it off. Anyone interested? Tell me. :)

See I knew it.

I'm so psychic. Yet another script checking day today. English and History. :(

English: Essay - 17.5/25, Paper 2 - 36/50. Total B+ only laa. CA ~~has to~~ must pull me up. :/ Essay was marked by Ms Koh. Should have been Ms Lam! Then I might get higher marks. :D But the question wasn't nice in the first place. How to write about my neighbourhood! The market? The random flats?

History: 30/50. D: I want to cry laa. So low! :( B- leh. Like that how to get my PSP! Waaaahhhhhh! Anyway, assuming I get 85 or more for CA (which is highly impossible), I can still get an A-. But that won't be enough. Aaaaah. It's all because of Friday the 13th. (I was going to say something right here but I decided it was too offending. So there.)

Fine I shall stop ranting about such a demoralising subject. Anyway I spent practically the rest of the time in school (which is a good 7 hours ?!) trying to build our very imbahh robot! It's not exactly very stable or anything, I'm just comforting myself. :|

The robot kind of looked nicer when the different body parts were separated. Serious. After we stuck all the random parts together, they started breaking apart. Friday the 13th again. It does have a great force, doesn't it? Ohno this is getting more demoralising. Gahh.

Okay whatever. Tomorrow's the real thing and I just hope everything goes smoothly. And that includes the robot being able to survive till the end.

I'm dead tired now. Robot don't collapse on me.

Script Checking

Had script checking today. Physics, Math, Chemistry, Chinese. HAHAH At least it's within my expectations, although I know I could have done better. :|

Yes 933 is playing Jam Hsiao's 新不了情! :D It's not exactly his actually. The original singer was 蔡琴. Hopefully I'm not wrong about that. :/ Offtopic.

Physics: 51/70. B+. Yeah I know many got higher. But if my Physics CA miraculously gets A+, I might just get A-/A overall. Which qualifies me for a PSP. Maybe just the PSP screen or something.

Math: 57/60. I could have gotten 60! If only the question was clearer and I wasn't so carelessly stupid. Nevermind I still qualify for my PSP. HAHAH.

Chemistry: 62.5/80. A-. Hopefully my CA pulls me up (yes it's not high enough) and gets me an A overall. :D

Chinese: Essay - 51.5/70, Paper 2 - 79/90. A!! XD Yay I'm so imbahh. But it was easy compared to all the previous Chinese papers. But I still got an A! :) Now I think my Chinese CA is going to pull me down. Considering the fact that I didn't hand in one of my essays. Plus a lot of overdue homework. Let's hope Ms Mak feels like being nice and decides not to penalise me for that. crosses fingers

English and History tomorrow. That's when I'm going to die. Like really shootbangdead. Pass only is not an option.

Finally. I'm back. After 11 days of procrastination. 5 days, to be exact if you don't count all my exam dates. Don't ask. My PSP has vanished into nonexistence. Poof! Gahh.

Singapore Hit Awards 2009

I actually wanted to go to Singapore Indoor Stadium to watch it. Even more so when I knew Mayday was attending. But apparently my parents won't allow. D: Good thing Channel U had this 精专版, but they cut off a lot of stuff. Including one of Mayday's songs. ): How I wished I was there! Obviously I wouldn't be satisfied by the ultra-compressed version on TV.

BOOMZ.

My sister's watching some ~~random~~BOOMZ japanese anime on okto. -o- And she's trying to imitate what they're saying. So ~~irritating~~BOOMZ.

CCA was kind of ~~busy~~BOOMZ today. The first hour we were doing SDMA. Actually my group didn't exactly do anything in the first hour. We were waiting for the tripod. -.- And I was lost anyway. ~~No I wasn't. I was in the computer lab -- not lost.~~ Yup so we were just slacking.

The rest of the 2 hours we were doing StrITwise. We were supposed to come up with 5 designs for the robot, but... I obviously didn't. I only drew two, and two ~~lousy~~BOOMZ ones too. But in the end we still used Wan Ling's design. (Duh!) And we spent the rest of the time finalising all the ~~random~~BOOMZ attributes and colours and design and storyline.

What do I do in problem solving? SOLVE PROBLEMS. See, the title says all. And NO, I don't care about all the discussion after every question, it's just the solving part that's fun. Not really solving la. It's, uh, ...trying-to-solve. Yup.
Man I'm actually looking forward to Math lessons. I think the last time that happened was last semester? Even last year maybe.

Got back our HCL common test. It was muchmuchmuch easier than the previous one. I got A+ :D Like just. And Ms Mak gave me a box of Pretz, cause I was third overall Oo. Come to think of it, I shouldn't even have spent so much time trying to come up with something closest to the correct answer to scribble in. 'Cause I'll get it wrong anyway.
The questions were like !@#$%& hard can. Out of 10 questions on the first page, I could only manage to do one. And I wasn't even sure if it was correct in the first place. And that was only the Kanji section Don't ask about the rest of the paper.
I'm just hoping oral will pull me up...

See? Japanese is a waste of time. Spend so much time going for lessons, in the end still fail. I don't care I'm gonna quit next year. IF ONLY my father would allow.
